1. Formation of ideas and education of parishioners. This surfaces from talks and slide presentations of Catholic liturgical history as regards scared space. A reflective walk is made through the gathering area, nave, altar area, eucharistic devotion, reconciliation, baptism, etc.
2. Schematic design. What changes are needed and do these changes fit together or complement one another?
3. Design development. As information is gathered from all areas of the parish, it is collated and compared to the American Bishop's guidelines on Environment and Art in Catholic Worship.
4. Construction. As changes begin, details are monitored and modified if necessary.
5. Dedication of the church building. If significant changes have taken place, the building is re-blessed by the Bishop. If modifications have taken place, the new space is dedicated.
